NYC Outdoors: An Environmental Education Expo

The Frying Pan, Pier 66A (Hudson River Park at 26th Street)

Join The River Project, New York City Soil and Water Conservation District and NYU's Wallerstein Collaborative for Urban Environmental Education for New York City Outdoors: An Environmental Education Expo. Over 40 NYC area organizations that provide in-class and field trip Environmental Education programs will be on display to show their programs and answer questions. There will also be live demonstrations, including:

  · Live raptors from the Theodore Roosevelt Sanctuary & Audubon Center
  · Fishing with Hudson River Park Trust
  · Water testing with the NYC Soil & Water Conservation District
  · Oyster gardening with The River Project

There will be plenty of take away materials from all organizations, a roundtable discussion on how to exchange ideas on how best to integrate field-based activities into curriculum, and door-prizes. Finger food and beverages will be served. This is a free event, and open to the public.
